Three companies – "East point", owned by Zoran Drakulić, Austrian "A-tec" and Swiss "Glencore", are still interested in takeover of Mining Smelter Basin (RTB) “Bor”, but they asked from the representatives of the Privatization Agency and the Ministry of Economy to lower the price of 300m USD for 67% of capital of this company.

Although the tender for selection of strategic partner for "Bor" has been extended until the end of February, as "Novac" finds out, it is unlikely that any of three aforementioned companies will bid under these conditions.

That is why the Government of Serbia is thinking about resuming negotiations with the interested companies and, as our source claims, the possibility of sale by direct agreement is not excluded.

People from the Privatization Agency have already announced that, in case the third tender is declared unsuccessful, RTB "Bor", will not go bankrupt, because of its strategic importance to Serbia, and the decisions about its future will be made by the Government and the Ministry of Economy.
