Consortium "Alpine-Porr" has submitted a proposal to the Government of Serbia to keep the concession for construction of highway in Serbia, but, instead of building Horgoš-Požega highway, it intends to build shorter section – from Ostružnica to Lajkovac.

The Government of Serbia finds this proposal acceptable only if the Law allows such change in the contract and if company "Alpine-Porr" bears all construction costs.

In that way, the Government of Serbia will keep 10m EUR that "Alpine -Porr" paid as the guarantee.

Unofficially, Austrian consortium is interested in construction of this high-frequency road section because of high profitability, while the interest of the Government of Serbia lies in the fact that “there are no such plans for construction of that part of the road in the near future".

As son as "Alpine-Porr" submits the offer in written, the experts will estimate whether such change in the contract is possible.
