Robots delivering packages instead of couriers

The robots roll on six wheels, are equipped with a GPS device, a radar and a camera, which enables them to reach their destination. They are also capable of finding their way around obstacles and obeying the traffic rules. The robots are entirely capable of moving on their own within a three- to five-kilometer radius, but they are tracked by human operators.

The robots have traveled more than 8,000 kilometers so far during the testing without a single incident. The advantage of these robots is certainly their speed, because no one likes to wait for hours for the couriers to arrive. After England, Germany and Switzerland, the service will soon become available in other European countries as well.
