This year, Serbia wants to rank at top 40 at the "Doing Business" list of the World Bank for 2017 where business conditions in 189 countries are estimated. This is the objective which Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic set at the last session of the Government where they discussed current results and what needs to be done.

His ambitions even go so far as to Serbia enters among top 20 countries the next year. Deputy Prime Minister Zorana Mihajlovic also believes it is not unattainable and says it is already certain Serbia will have five to 10 places better position.

The biggest jump at this list was made last year when from 91st position Serbia jumped to 59th. This was primarily due to introduction of electronic construction permits and electronic tax collection.
