Serbian companies spend EUR 3,5 billion on unqualified manpower training

(Mark Cadez) Since 2000, companies in Serbia, according to some estimations, have spent app EUR 3.5 billion on training of unskilled manpower, the President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Marko Cadez, has said today.
At the conference on dual education he outlined that that kind of education is necessary for economic development and mentioned that some amendments of legislation, such as the Labor Law and the Law on Vocational Education must be prepared as soon as possible in order to start reforms in this area immediately after new government set up.
He outlined the German economy is regulated and that we should look up to their system of dual education, as well as Austrian and Swiss, adding that this successful experience should be adapted to conditions in Serbia. The objective of SCC, as its president said, is to be present in companies to be able to see which profiles are essential for Serbian economy and that they have been working on it for some time now. The chamber will, he said, issue certificates, train mentors for dual education and other.
