No sale of Sberbank in 2016
The Russian government has no plans to privatize the largest domestic bank - Sberbank, in 2016, said Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich.
According to him, the Russian authorities plan to sell ownership stakes in several leading state-owned companies in 2016, including oil companies Rosneft and Bashneft, the transportation company Sovcomflot, and the diamond manufacturer Alrosa, Russia's news agency Tass reports.
- Our plan is to start this year - said Dvorkovich, who also added that the sale of state-owned stake in Sberbank in 2016 was out of question.
As he noted, the Russian government is preparing the market for a series of transactions.
