London stock market and German stock market are negotiating the merge discussed 15 years ago. 2016, Guardian reported on Tuesday, February 23.

The London Stock Market confirmedthat in the talks with German stockmarket and in line with the proposed agreement, shareholders of the owner of thestock market in Frankfurt would get 54,4%share at the company while shareholders of London stock market would get 45,6%.



Stock markets in London and Frankfurt have negotiated on merging. Agreement wasachieved in 2000 before it was rejected due to the offer of OM OM gruppen, owner of stock market in Stockholmfor the acquisition of the London Stock Market. Later on, deal with Swedishcompany failed.


In 2005, London Stock market rejectedformal offer of German Stock market of 1,3 billion pounds.


After the news on new talks, shares of the London Stock Market increased by 12,4%, and of German by 3,6%.
