Central records are currently used by 3,050 employees at 582 institutions, including the Construction Ministry, Interior Ministry, organs of the local self-government, public and municipal companies, building land directorates, EPS, departments of real estate cadastre.
The BRA, which will be managing this system, should enable simple and easy access to the records and the reporting system. The Agency will also control if competent organs process requests within the deadlines prescribed by law.
Serbian Construction, Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Zorana Mihajlovic, who paid a visit to BRA today on the occasion of the start of issue of electronic building permits, said that building permit applications of about 40 registered businessmen were already "in the system".
- The new system is good for Serbia because it improves business conditions in our country - said Mihajlovic.
She added that it was also a step towards a higher ranking of Serbia on the World Bank's Doing Business list.
The electronic building permitting system can be accessed through the websites of the BRA, the Construction Ministry and local self-governments, as well as www.gradjevinskedozvole.rs.
