SERTIC: New Law on investments on Serbia in a few weeks

(Zeljko Sertic) Serbian minister of trade, Zeljko Sertic, in his discussions today with the International Monetary Fund, said that the adoption of the Law on investments can be expected in the next few weeks and announced the change of a number of regulations which will develop business environment.

As stated in the announcement of the Ministry of trade, at the meeting with Sertic, IMF reps specifically showed interest in business environment improvement in Serbia and voiced for soon adoption of the Law on investments.



Serbian minister of trade discusses with IMF Mission current privatization, destiny of 17 strategic companies which have been extended privatization deadline, public companies business as well as laws in preparation process, Law on investments first of all.

The IMF mission started in Belgrade the second revision of the engagement with Serbia August 21 and should end it September 2. The Prime Minister, Aleksandar Vucic, after meeting IMF reps on Monday, said he expects positive estimation of the revision since Serbia met all the requirements.
