Germans want to employ 3,000 people in Serbia

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has announced that two German companies intend to create a big number of new jobs in Serbia.

- Siemens today announced it would hire additional 220 people at its factory in Subotica. They are doing this for profit, but also because Serbia has excellent manpower - Vucic said in Munich, after a meeting with German businessmen.

- Another company today expressed interest in investing in Serbia and employing between two and three thousand people - Vucic stressed without unveiling the name of the company.

The prime minister began the visit to Munich by taking part in the Business Forum, where he spoke with the representatives of about thirty Bavarian companies, including Siemens, Airbus Defence and Space, Tonnies, Osram, Philip Morris, etc.

This meeting was organized by the Serbian Chamber of Commerce with the support of the Munich Chamber of Commerce.

Talking to the press after the Business Forum, Vucic pointed out that Bavaria was one of the provinces with the strongest economy in Germany, adding that he expected his visit to give great effects.

During his stay in Munich, Vucic will also meet with the prime minister of the German Federal Province of Bavaria, Horst Zehofero, the minister for Europe and regional relations, Beata Merk, and numberous Bavarian businessmen.
