MIHAJLOVIC: Half a billion euros for compensation due to Corridor 10

The minister of construction, traffic and infrastructure of Serbia, Zorana Mihajlovic, said that claims and bad expropriation during construction of Corridor 10 cost at least half a billion euros.

- Tax directorate has been working on the estimation of the property which should be left out but there is no unique methodology so people complain and get disputes. It is huge amount of money - the minister said for Monday's Politika.

She added the sum to be paid to people for bad expropriation due to Zemun-Borca bridge construction totals millions dollars.

According to Mihajlovic, in the past, 1,1 billion euros was set aside for Corridor 10 and when it is completed in 2016, "it will turn out that we could make a corridor and a half".

After the statement that local companies so far have not been able to get work at Corridor 10 because foreign companies offered damping prices, the minister said healthy, local companies should set up a consortium and that then the state will support them but will not provide funds.
