A total of EUR 10,5 m for notaries

A total of EUR 10,5 m will be invested in the changes to the Law on public notaries in order to extend their responsibility! These are the data shown within the governmental Action plan for negotiation chapter 23.

More precisely, German organization, GIZ, within the Program of legal and judicial reform, will set aside the amount while Serbia will single out EUR 71.136 from the budget. As shown in the Action plan, GIZ between 2011 and last year GIZ has already invested EUR 5,250 m to make notary system live in our country. Starting from this one until the end of 2018, EUR 1.312.500 will be invested per year respectively.

At the moment, 92 notaries work in Serbia and he agrees the number is not sufficient for the scope of work in the spring. Therefore, Public notary chamber released public call for appointment of 117 new notaries for the entire country, first of all in municipalities which have not selected them yet, then in municipalities where it turned out the selected number is not sufficient. Competition was published December 30 at the Official Gazette and it will last 30 days as of the publication date.
