Copy linkSerbian startup SuperPlane raises USD 2.6 million in pre-seed investment to develop AI platform for engineering process automation
The SuperPlane startup, founded by Serbian entrepreneurs Darko Fabijan and Marko Anastasov, has raised USD 2.6 million in a pre-seed investment round to develop an open-source platform that automates production infrastructure management and DevOps processes with the help of artificial intelligence, the company announced.
The investment round was led by Credo Ventures, with participation from First Momentum Ventures. Investors also include Mirko Novakovic, CEO of Dash0, Tomas Kratky, founder of Manta, Andreas Klinger from Prototype Capital, Igor Bogicevic from Culture Amp, Mihajlo Grbovic from Airbnb, Nenad Bozic from SmartCat, Noe Gersanois from OPRTRS CLUB, Peter Zaitsev from Percona, Stanislas Polu from Dust, and Tim Sadler from Proofpoint.
The funds raised will be used to accelerate product development, collaborate with early adopters and partners, and expand the open-source ecosystem around the platform.
SuperPlane is developing an AI-first control platform that enables human engineers and AI agents to jointly manage post-code processes – from testing, reviewing and approving changes, to orchestrating infrastructure and deployment, to incident response, rolling back to previous versions, and monitoring system performance.
– AI is changing the way software is developed, but the biggest challenge is yet to come – how to manage the huge number of changes that arrive in production environments. We see the future in supervised automation that engineers can trust. SuperPlane enables humans and AI agents to work together with clear rules, context, and full control over production processes – said SuperPlane CEO Darko Fabijan.
In addition to Fabijan and Anastasov, the founding team consists of Lucas Pinheiro, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Igor Sarcevic, and Petar Perovic. The company currently employs 12 people and is working on developing the SuperPlane Cloud platform and expanding the partner ecosystem.
