Bubo², a technology startup building a scalable, photorealistic 3D imaging infrastructure, today announced the closing of its USD 2 million seed round, led by Fifth Quarter Ventures with participation from South Central Ventures.

Bubo² is a pioneer in an end-to-end SaaS platform that enables businesses to create, manage and display photorealistic 3D models of high-value products - such as used construction equipment, vehicles and maritime devices - directly in the browser.

Using cutting-edge 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) technology, Bubo² simplifies the complex and costly process of 3D content creation, enabling a new generation of advanced e-commerce experiences.

– We are building the 3D layer of the internet - starting with industries where visual trust really matters. This round gives us the resources to prove product fit with the market, expand our engineering team, and expand into new use cases with design partners in construction, automotive retail, and beyond – said Perica Milosevic, co-founder of startup Bubo² and former VP of Engineering at Sysdig.

– We invested in Bubo² because they have built one of the most technically robust 3DGS stacks we’ve seen - but more importantly, they are implementing it in a way that is deeply commercial, has a high ROI, and is globally scalable – said Pedja Predin, general partner at Fifth Quarter Ventures.

– Their combination of deep tech and repeatable SaaS execution is rare, and we are thrilled to support them in building the future of interactive product experiences – he added.
