3Lateral Novi Sad to head digital people revolution for American Epic Games

Epic Games has bought 3Lateral Novi Sad, which develops a technology for the creation of realistic digital models and animations.

This way, 3Lateral became a part of the Unreal Engine game development platform of this American company, which publishes Fortnite, one of the most popular MMORPGs at the moment.

However, despite this acquisition, this Novi Sad-based company continues to work with the partners in the gaming, TV and film industries.

The price has not yet been publicly disclosed, but Netokracija learns that Epic Games has acquired 100% of 3Lateral.

Vladimir Mastilovic, the director of 3Lateral, will lead the global team within Epic Games which will be in charge of “digital people”.

The Novi Sad-based company will not change the name or the location. 3Lateral says that the company has been profitable for over 15 years and that the number of employees increases considerably each year.

In addition to developing innovative technologies for the creation of digital life, the company also offers technological solutions without geographic limits, which is shown by a large number of projects they are involved in and their cooperation with companies from all over the world.

The company says for Netokracija that their HQ will remain in Novi Sad.

The Serbian team will be expanded with researchers, engineers and experts in other fields from Serbia and the region.
