France funds international startups – Application deadline September 23
For the second year in a row, a competition called French Tech Ticket is being held, a program for financing international startups. It opened on June 21, and the closing date is September 23.
The program helps international entrepreneurs who wish to develop a startup in France, in one of the 41 partner incubators throughout the country. Funds and other benefits for the best 70 projects have been provided for a 12 month program, announced the French-Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
Each of the selected startup teams will receive the whole project development package, including EUR 45,000 (EUR 20,000 for personal expenses, the rest for project development), which, as the announcement says, facilitates starting a business.
The applicants will be provided with residence permits, office space for a 12 month period, training programs, counseling with their mentors and an opportunity to attend business events.
Teams of two to three startup founders can apply, in which no more than one person can be of French nationality, and the requirement is that all teams are fluent in English, since the entire program is carried out in English.
The winners will be selected this December, and the program starts in January 2017 and will be implemented in several French cities.
