Who will open first golf court in Montenegro – the British, Americans or Canadians?

Prior to the end of April 2007, the investors will be able to buy more than 1m square meters of land, the property of company "Montepranzo Bokaprodukt", in the vicinity of Tivat. That terrain is almost perfect for construction of a golf court and the land is intended for construction of a hotel complex.

Unofficially, Canadian billionaire Peter Munk, (the investor in Arsenal complex) is interested in this project, as well as few businessmen from Netherlands and Ireland.

"Landmark land", the largest American company that deals with the construction of golf courts, has paid a visit to the potential locations - Ada Bojana, Buljarica, Ulcinj’s Velika Plaža (Big Beach) and complex Jaz near Budva. It is assumed that the Americans will build at least two golf courts, each on about 150 ha of land.

British "Laikord golf and country" has started construction of the golf court in village of Orahovo near Virpazar. Small artificial lakes, hills, recesses and other “obstacles” have already been formed. Also, the construction of 50 bungalows and prefab restaurant is in the pipeline. The location is exceptional, it takes about ten minutes to reach the seaside through Sozina tunnel, Skadar lake is only few kilometers away, Airport "Golubovci" is 15 minutes of driving away, while the Tivat airport is 40 km away from the golf court.
