New spa in Vrujci – ambitious investment project, worth 25m EUR, to contain SPA centre and high-category hotels
- Traditional spa resorts in Serbia, many of which have been turned into special hospitals, will have to give up their place to the new, modern and profitable SPA centers - says Dr. Milisav Čutović, who laid the foundations of the SPA centre in summer 2006 in Vrujci Spa near Mionica, that is, he laid the foundations for the treatment and maintenance of health by means of medicinal water, which he named “The First New Spa”.
So-called SPA technology puts water, supplemented with the medicinal mud, gases and climate of certain destination, in the foreground. By the way, this concept was created two decades ago in USA and Canada and, once it appeared in Europe, it caused a real frenzy. Thus, Slovenians built 14 new spa resorts after they left Yugoslavia. There are 50 of such spa resorts in Austria, while Germany has more than 200.
– The complex whose preliminary value is 20-25m EUR will be built in phases and with the support from the interested investors, either local or foreign. Already this summer the visitors will have three swimming pools at their disposal and the construction of 20 suites will start in few days. The capacities will be significantly enlarged in the following years when a four-star hotel with 140 beds and 160 suite beds is built. All that with the appropriate health care, medical, fitness, catering, trade, cultural, entertaining and other contents – says Čutović.
