Who is going to buy complex of Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs in Belgrade’s downtown – representatives of company "Soravia" gave up deal
The Republic Directorate for Property is preparing a letter to invite the second-ranked bidder on the tender for sale of bombed complex of the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kneza Miloša Street in Belgrade to sign the contract.
That bidder is Swiss company "Private project management" whose bid for this complex amounted to 34.5m EUR. The agreement has not been reached with first-ranked "Soravia invest", of which bid amounted to 35,050,000 EUR.
- The representatives of "Soravia" did not show up to sign the contract. They came at the agreed time, as they stated, not to sign the contract, but to deliver the paper with their conditions. They said that they wanted to the sign the contract, but under the conditions that were not acceptable to the Directorate - says Goran Mandić, the councilor of the Manager of the Directorate.
According to his words, "Soravia" conditioned them with the obtaining of the building permit. The Directorate sells only the property over the complex, while Belgrade issues city planning terms and approvals.
- We can not give so much money without knowing what and how can be built on that location - says Miroslav Tančev, the representative of "Soravia" for southeast Europe, and he adds that they were said that everything was all right, but no guarantees were provided when the contract was supposed to be signed.
