Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic announced Friday (27 June 2014) that the project to build cheap apartments in Serbia would be implemented regardless of the news that Arabtec's share value had dropped.

Vucic announced in May that apartments priced at EUR 130 per square meter would be built in several locations in Serbia as one of the four big measures for the country's economic recovery. The construction was announced for the year 2015, and Arabtec was mentioned as the main partner.

- If Arabtec loses nine tens of its value, it will still be a company whose capital is 10 times as big as Serbia's consolidated budget. The project to build cheap flats will survive - said Vucic.
