New shopping mall in Novi Sad – The City is negotiating with Army on sales of lot at Liman IV
The City of Novi Sad is negotiating with the Army on sales of lot in Liman 4 where the Neimar barracks are so that a shopping mall would be constructed here.
Negotiations were held between the mayor, Milos Vucevic and the ex minister of defense, Nebojsa Rodic.
If they reach an agreement, it would mean that after ten years, the implementation of a tripartite protocol between the Ministry of Defense, the City and the Army on exchange of real estate and military property sales has started. According to the initial agreement of Vucevic and Rodic, the City would not provide funds for Military but certain number of flats in line with the market value of land and flats.
It is about five lots located at the station of city buses in Liman 4.
- The city is intensively negotiation with resource ministry on purchase of location and we are very motivated because we would sell it at good price. The most important thing is that there is a specific investor which is very interested in building a shopping mall at that location – Vucevic says.
According to him, the Ministry of Defense insists that the local self-governance, does not pay that construction land but that the transaction price should be flat conversion.
Rough estimation is that lots total EUR 500.000.
