When does construction of new Belgrade's port on left bank of the Danube start ?

In the next 3-5 years, due to limited possibility of broadening and problematic connection with main roads, Port "Beograd" will be moved from Viline Vode to the left bank of the Danube, across Ada Huja, to the area of 600 ha downstream from the Pančevo bridge. The Directorate for Building Land currently receives bids for elaboration of a justification study.

The existing port, as the head architect Đorđe Bobić points out, will not be closed unitl the new one is built. "Delta", the current owner of Port "Beograd" intends to have a business-apartment complex built on this area, but not before the new port is opened.

It is expected that the agreement will be reached with "Serbian Railways" that the railway tracks and the planned light cargo station be moved to the other bank of the Danube, along the road to Pančevo.
