Law on planning and construction in July at the Assembly

The proposal of the changes of the Law on planning and construction in July will be in the assembly procedure, the minister of construction, traffic and infrastructure, Zorana Mihajlovic, said on Wednesday, June 18, 2014.

With the USAD delegation of the Project for better business environment, she discussed changes of the law which should enable faster issuing of construction permits in Serbia, the Ministry of Construction announced.

As it was said, the project manager, Joseph Lauter, outlined the progress in development of an important reform law created after the set up of the Ministry of Construction, traffic and infrastructure and offered support to USAID in the implementation of suggested innovations.
Mihajlovic announced that the cooperation with USAID, when it comes to implementation in the field of planning and construction, will definitely continue after adoption of changes to the law.

- The support to USAID will primarily focus on preparation of bylaws, fast response office set up, as well as preparation of procedures for electronic permits issuance on which the Ministry will work on in the upcoming period – it was said at the meeting.
