Construction of University Settlement in Belgrade to start in spring

The foundations for the University Village in Novi Beograd could be laid already in the first spring days if the investor, company "Block 67 Associates", obtains building permit, for which they applied in September 2006, in the foreseeable future.

The apartments will be soon on the real estates market, but the owners will get keys after the end of the University Games 2009.

The investor, joint venture of Austrian "CEE investment", will build the settlement and, after the University Games, the settlement will be given on use to the investor.

The Ministry of Education and Sport has a series of requests related to organization of the accomodation for sportsmen. The participants, among the rest, must have the computer center at their disposal, as well as beuaty parlors, coffee shops and much more. The trim track built on that occasion will be left to the future tenants to use it.

According to the words of Gordana Gavrilović, the project manager of company "Mejs", the consulting company that manages project for construction of the University Village, the building site will be opened when the Secretariat for City Planning approves permit for complete documentation, which includes registration of works.

Construction of the University Settlement will definitely have influence on the real estates market, because, as the experts claim, when 2,000 apartments appears on the market at the same time, the fall of the prices is guaranteed.
