First guests of 88 Rooms Hotel from ex-Yugoslavia - Open-air restaurant on top of six-floor building in Takovska Street to open soon (PHOTO)
Belgrade has got yet another hotel in the city center. The first guests arrived last week to 88 Rooms Hotel in Takovska Street, a EUR 4.5 million facility that operates under the auspices of MK Mountain Resort.
- We received our first guests last week, and new guests are now arriving to our hotel because of the forthcoming tourism fair. The first guests we had came from the region, primarily from Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia - Nikola Avram, the director of 88 Rooms and MK Mountain Resort, has told eKapija.
The hotel 88 Rooms is situated in Takovska Street, on the site of former Takovo centar, where an office space used to be. This hotel has rooms across six floors and a rooftop restaurant on the seventh storey with a magnificent view of Belgrade and the banks of the Danube River.
Considering that there is plenty of free space on the roof of this facility, we`ve asked the hotel director if they plan to open an open-air restaurant there.
- The plan is to open this open-air restaurant in 20 days. All those who want to flee from the city and crowd can come here and enjoy themselves on the roof of our hotel. We also plan to organize celebrations for smaller groups - Avram announced.
He also said that a lobby bar would be finished in two or three weeks to make the hotel complete.
The price for bed and breakfast at this hotel ranges between 70 and 100 euros.
- We opened a typical city hotel that Belgrade lacks. The accent is on rooms, that is mattresses that adapt to the body shape. Internet is available in every room, and guests also have 45 TV channels to choose from. Our idea is to make this hotel the best place for sleeping there is with the best breakfast one can imagine.
- Outside the hotel will be a parking lot, and there is also an underground garage nearby.
Given that MK at Mount Kopaonik registers 160,000 overnight stays a year, they will try to attract some of these guests to the hotel in Belgrade.
The formal opening ceremony of 88 Rooms is scheduled for March.
