Water polo player Boris Zlokovic finances hotel construction in Herceg Novi
Boris Zlokovic, a celebrated member of the Montenegrin national water polo team, intends to finance the construction of city hotel at Topla beach in Herceg Novi. The Montenegrin Ministry of Sustainable Development has set urbanistic and technical requirements for the preparation of technical documentation for that facility.
Citing the Srbina Master Plan adopted by the Herceg Novi municipality as a reference, the competent ministry is explicit that the 869 sqm land lot owned by Boris Zlokovic can be used only to build a city hotel.
According to that document, the gross building surface area of this hotel can be maximum 1,300 square meters, whereas maximum number of floors allowed is two plus attic. The architecture must be adapted to fit the medieval surroundings, and Zlokovic also has to leave space for public staircase on his land lot. There must also be a parking lot, which is recommended to be built under the ground.
