Future hotel on location of former "BIP" tavern to fit into bohemian milieu of Skadarlija

The construction of luxurious business-catering complex will start in mid-2007 on the location of former "BIP" complex in Skadarlija .

On the area between this bohemian street and Cvijićeva Street, next to the famous Skadarlija's restaurants, which will be preserved and restored, the luxurious hotel of high category will be built.

According to the words of Branka Tmušić Stojanović, the member of the team of authors who work on the elaboration of the preliminary project for organization of this area, the final appearance of the project is still unknown, but it is for sure that it will not disturb the ancient spirit of Skadarlija.

- The team for elaboration of project, the carrier of which is Architectural Faculty in Belgrade, consists of architects Čepman Tejlor, Professor Branislav Stojanović and myself and we are in constant contact with the Monument Preservation Institute, Secretariat for City Planning and Construction of Belgrade and the city architect, so that we all together take care that the new facility fits into the milieu of Skadarlija – said Stojanović.
