Sheikh levels Jugobanka to the ground - Company from Emirates to build new luxury hotel at Kopaonik
At the request of a company from the United Arab Emirates that bought Jugobanka Hotel this year from the Serbian government for EUR 1.5 million, once famous hotel in the most attractive part of Kopaonik has been levelled to the ground to clear the land for a new tourist facility.
As the Serbian government announced in July 2013, Jugobanka's new owner is Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the crowne prince of the United Arab Emirates and a friend of Serbia. Last winter, this sheikh was staying at Mount Kopaonik together with Serbian First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic. He liked his stay a lot, so he decided to build something at the most famous mountain in our country.
