Metro Cash&Carry to open internal 2,500 sqm logistics center in Subotica

Metro Cash&Carry is going to open an internal logistics center for storage and distribution on a surface area of 2,500 square meters within its facility in Subotica.

Following the speculations about possible closing of this facility, which are based on internal changes, people at this company told Tanjug news agency that it was not going to be closed, adding that the assortment of products at Metro Subotica would be adapted to "fit the current needs of buyers" instead. The focus will be on food articles, home cleaning products, and office supplies.

- Changes in the assortment are part of Metro Cash&Carry Serbia's strategy that puts focus on the needs of professional customers - the company said in a release.

When asked if they were going to lay off some workers, people at this company replied that "there are no major changes in the pipeline at this moment."

METRO's wholesale center in Subotica operates for nearly two years. It covers a total surface area of 10,500 square meters and features 250 parking places.
