Glamour of the West and Montenegrin tradition - Hilton Podgorica Montenegro Hotel to comprise 200 rooms, 9 conference rooms, swimming pool and spa center

Will Belgrade, which already expects few new luxury hotel chains to open their facilities, soon make it to a list of Hilton destinations? This question has intrigued local hotel companies after recent announcements that the facilities of this famous franchise will soon be opened in two capitals in the Balkans - Podgorica and Skopje! The hotel in the capital city of Macedonia is due to open in 2014, whereas the one in Montenegro should be opened in May 2015, according to the latest announcements.

Israel`s Plaza Center earlier announced that its residential and business complex in Belgrade could be made complete with either Sheraton or Hilton hotel. However, this facility on the former site of the Ministry of Internal Affairs still awaits a building permit, which is why the story about Hilton in Belgrade is put on hold.

And while we are waiting for good news from Kneza Milosa Street, something nice has already happened in a neighboring capital - Podgorica. How is it going to look and what are the amenities of Hilton Podgorica Montenegro Hotel?

Glamour and Tradition

A project by Normal Company, the owner of Podgorica-based Crna Gora Hotel that will soon get a new look and aforementioned famous name, is about to enter a new phase. Completion of work on underground and ground floors few days ago was followed by an announcement of the commencement of reconstruction of the main building of Crna Gora Hotel in line with Hilton standards. This luxury facility should receive first guests in May 2015.

Crna Gora Hotel got a franchise for this world-famous brand back in May 2010. According to the agreement, as people at Normal Company say, the hotel will operate under the Hilton license over a period of 15 years with the possibility of this term being extended.

During the reconstruction, the facility will be expanded and modernized - the glamour of the West will be fit into a traditional ambiance of the Montenegrin capital. Hilton Podgorica Montenegro Hotel will have five stars.

Apart from being the investor, Normal Company is also the main contractor for this project, which is one of the largest of the kind in the hospitality business in Montenegro.

Hilton Hotel in Podgorica, located at the intersection of the main boulevard and the main pedestrian zone, will be a combination of "elegant façade, modern structure and luxurious interior," and there will also be a rich green area. In short - an international style complete with local hospitality.

Wellness center, indoor swimming pool and 9 conference rooms

Kompleks "Hotel Hilton Podgorica – Montengro", kapaciteta od oko 200 soba, gradi se u dve faze.

Prva faza, koja je prošle jeseni intenzivirana, obuhvata izgradnju novih smeštajnih kapaciteta, sa kongresnim salama na prizemnoj etaži, zatim welnes centar sa zatvorenim bazenom, fitnes i VIP spa centrom i podzemnom garažom na dva nivoa.

Druga faza, koja bi, kako je pre nekoliko dana najavljeno, trebalo uskoro da počne, podrazumeva rekonstrukciju postojećeg hotela sa servisnim blokom i izgradnju funkcionalno nezavisne celine – biznis centra, koji se sastoji od trgovačkog centra na nižim etažama i kancelarijskog prostora na višim.

Hotel će raspolagati sa 9 kompletno opremljenih multifunkcionalnih sala za sastanke, velikom konferencijskom dvoranom (Ballroom) i Executive Lounge-om, čime će "Hilton Montenegro", a samim tim i glavni grad postati kongresni centar Crne Gore.

Najduža tradicija u Podgorici

"Crna Gora", hotel sa najdužom tradicijom u Podgorici, svoja vrata otvorio je davne 1953. godine. Izgradnjom ovog hotela, arhitekte Vujadina Popovića, započeo je razvoj savremenog hotelijerstva u Crnoj Gori.

Odmah je postao jedan od simbola Podgorice, i mesto okupljanja znamenitih ljudi iz sveta kulture, sporta i politike koji su darovali ovom hotelu delić svog vremena. Danas je hotel "Crna Gora" mesto susreta, poslovnih skupova i svečanih prijema.

- Ubrzan rast i razvoj glavnog grada, sve veći broj posetilaca, kako turista tako i poslovnih ljudi nametnuli su potrebu za smeštajnim i konferencijskim kapacitetima, i prepoznatljivim internacionalnim nivoom usluge koje nedostaju u ponudi glavnog grada. Stoga smo došli na ideju da od postojećeg hotela napravimo glavni kongresni centar u Crnoj Gori i luksuzni smeštajni kompleks koji će moći da odgovori na zahteve elitnih domaćih i stranih gostiju – kažu u "Normal Company".

Projektnu dokumentaciju ovog hotela izradio je milanski "BusinessArt".

Kada je reč o podizvođačima radova, investitor "Normal Company" može se podičiti time da angažuje crnogorska preduzeća, ali i koristi domaće materijale.

Površina hotela je oko 22.000 kvadrata, a samo podzemne garaže imaju oko 7.000 m2.

Prema ranijim objavama, prva faza finansira se iz kredita crnogorskih banaka, a drugu fazu finansira Evropska banka za obnovu i razvoj.
