Azmont presents European Dubai project in Herceg Novi - Construction of EUR 258 million One&Only luxury resort to begin September 1st

The Azmont Investments company has announced that it will commence the construction of a hotel and tourist complex on September 1st, 2013 on an area of 25 hectares on the site of the former barracks in Kumbor. This luxury resort will be the first One&Only complex in Europe and the eighth such project in the world. There are already two One&Only facilities in Dubai and one in the Bahamas, the Maldives, Mauritius, Mexico and the South African Republic.

The total surface area of the leased land in Kumbor is 241,695 square meters. The Montenegrin government has signed a long-term agreement with Azerbaijan's Socar for a period of 90 years. The investor has announced that the investment will exceed EUR 258 million, adding that the complex is due to open on 1 May 2016.

Azmont Investments Executive Director James Willson said at the project presentation in Herceg Novi that the company to run the complex had been selected on the basis of the quality of its service, which had no precedent in the Balkans.

The complex is divided into several units with One&Only Montenegro Hotel occupying a central spot elevated 16 meters from the rest of the land. This hotel will feature 110 rooms of 65 square meters each as well as a sandy beach with three small islands to be built in front of it.

- This is the biggest tourist project in Europe so far, and we have already secured the required funding for its implementation. Luxury and exclusiveness are what should attract high-yield tourists. The job in Kumbor is not going to be easy as the Bay of Kotor is one of the most beautiful bays in the world - the Podgorica Pobjeda cited Wilson as saying.

The complex will also comprise suites, villas and a spa center spanning 3,000 square meters. All buildings, which will be built in the Mediterranean style, will have between three and four floors and feature a red roof and a stone facade.

The plan is also to build small neighborhoods on the very coast as well as a large complex for conferences and banquets for 1,000 people, corporate accommodation facilities... There will also be tennis courts, domestic and international restaurants and bars, boulevards, beach and country clubs, luxury villas with a swimming pool, whereas the existing park and botanical garden will be renovated and regenerated.

People at Azmont have started counting trees. As they announced, all healthy trees will be preserved, whereas the rest of them will be replaced with new ones. This resort should also get a marina for 250 sailboats and boats ranging in length between 12 and 70 meters.

As it was announced by Azmont, 70 percent of the resort will be open to the public, whereas the hotel and the beach will be exclusively intended for guests.
