Crowne Plaza instead of Continental as of September 2013

In September 2013, in the location of Continental hotel in New Belgrade, a new five-star hotel will be opened as part of the chain InterContinental Hotels Group and under the brand Crowne Plaza.

Reconstruction of the famous Belgrade hotel commenced in July this year. As it was announced earlier, the company Delta is going to invest EUR 30 million in the new five-star hotel.

Crowne Plaza will include 420 rooms, few restaurants, conference rooms and a large spa center that will be open to all visitors, not only hotel guests.

- We've finished the phase of complete demolition of the hotel. Now we've started working on the power, venting and air-conditioning systems. As one can see when going past the former Continental hotel, the old facade is completely removed and a new one is being set up. All works are going as planned, so that we expect Crowne Plaza hotel to open in September 2013 - Zivorad Vasic, director for hotel and office space projects at Delta Real Estate, says to eKapija.
