Construction Fair opens in Belgrade

The 38th International Construction Fair, which was opened Tuesday in Belgrade, will gather 856 exhibitors, a third of which come from 26 countries in Europe and Asia.

The event at the Belgrade Fair was opened by Serbian Minister of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning Oliver Dulic.

- Without the Serbian government's measures, many companies in the construction industry would not survive - Dulic said and stressed that the government had invested between 450 and 500 million euros in the domestic construction industry to date.

- The statistics show that the construction sector in Serbia grew 16.5 percent in Q4 2011 and that the number of issued building permits was up 34 percent in December last year - he pointed out.

At the Construction Fair, which will be open until April 28th, all fields of the construction industry will be presented: from up-to-date materials, equipment, tools and machines, through innovations in architecture and project management, to the latest systems of construction, organization and maintenance of facilities, adaptation, reconstruction and interior and exterior works.

The opening hours are 10 AM - 7 PM, except on Saturday, the last day, when the gates will be closed at 5 PM. The price of a ticket is RSD 500, a ticket for group visits costs RSD 350 per person, whereas the parking fee per hour is RSD 200.
