Copy linkGornji Milanovac to Get a Modern Dual Education Training Center – Tender Issued for Project Design
The Municipal Administration of Gornji Milanovac has officially announced a public procurement procedure for the preparation of urban planning, technical, and design documentation for the construction of the future Dual Education Training Center.
The new facility will be built on publicly owned construction land, on cadastral parcel No. 51943 in the Gornji Milanovac cadastral municipality. According to the tender documentation, the plan предусматриes the construction of a modern multi-storey building with a maximum height of ground floor plus four floors (G+4).
The primary objective of the project is to significantly improve the quality of secondary education in the municipality. The training center will function as an economic and technical education hub where teaching will take place in an environment closely simulating real business conditions. The facility will primarily be used by students of the Technical School and the School of Economics in Gornji Milanovac, but it will also serve for professional retraining, reskilling, and adult education, all in direct partnership with the local business community.
What will the new center look like?
The functional layout of the building is divided into three key segments covering more than 2,000 square meters.
The Technical Block on the ground floor is intended for mechanical engineering and metalworking workshops, electrical engineering, and graphic arts, along with teachers' offices and auxiliary storage areas.
The Economic Block of the ground floor will include specialized training facilities for educational profiles such as chef and waiter, retail salesperson, economics and commercial technician, as well as financial and accounting technician.
The upper floors are planned to accommodate general education and computer classrooms, a teachers' lounge with a kitchenette, offices, and archive space.
The future building will be equipped with solar collectors for domestic hot water production, a complete LED lighting system with motion sensors, and designers have also been given the option of incorporating a green roof on part of the building.
The facility will also feature state-of-the-art technical security systems, including IP video surveillance, an access control system using contactless cards that automatically unlocks in the event of a fire, and continuously operating methane gas detectors in the kitchen and boiler room areas. As a public building with a high volume of visitors, the center will also be equipped with a publicly accessible automated external defibrillator (AED).
What is expected from the designers?
The selected design team will be responsible for preparing the complete documentation package, from the Urban Development Project with a 3D visualization, through the Conceptual Design (IDR) required for obtaining location conditions, to the Building Permit Design (PGD) and the Detailed Construction Design (PZI), including the main fire protection design.
The estimated value of the contract is RSD 3.8 million (excluding VAT), and the deadline for submitting bids by interested design firms is July 31.
