Statistical Office: 35,380 apartments built in Serbia last year, slightly fewer than in 2023
Last year, in Serbia, 35,380 apartments were built, which is slightly fewer than in 2023, when 35,652 were built, the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia announced today. The total value of the construction works in Serbia last year amounted to RSD 795.6 billion, of which RSD 339 billion was spent on the construction of buildings.
The biggest value of the construction works was recorded in Belgrade, amounting to RSD 247.9 billion, followed by Vojvodina with RSD 226.8 billion, the Sumadija and western Serbia region with RSD 197.3 billion and, finally, the region of southern and eastern Serbia with RSD 123.1 billion.
As said, the average floor area of an apartment built in Serbia last year was 75.9 square meters, and the statistics show that 5.4 apartments per 1,000 citizens were completed.
In Serbia, last year, 30,437 building permits were issued, which is less than a year before, when 31,216 permits were issued, announced the Statistical Office.
