Jahorina Eco Wellness project awaits investors

The municipality of Trnovo in Bosnia-Herzegovina has completed a preliminary design for the Jahorina Eco Wellness project aimed at improving the tourist offer of Jahorina mountain, Mira Tepavcevic, expert associate for information and social activities in the municipality of Trnovo, confirmed for ekapija.ba.

The future wellness center will span 1,500 square meters, and it is planned to be situated in the location of Obucina pond, at the height of about 1,650 meters above the sea level.

The wellness center on Jahorina will offer ideal conditions for rest, recreation and relaxation. In order to make the arrival of tourists easer and their stay as pleasant as possible, the municipality of Trnovo has so far implemented several projects on Jahorina, that is, it has built roads and parking lots, sewerage and public lighting system.

Ms. Tepavcevic said that the municipality of Trnovo had also prepared all the required documents in addition to the preliminary design.

- Owing to a difficult economic situation, the project is, unfortunately, still on the waiting list because it requires a multimillion investment - Ms. Tepavcevic stressed, explaining that the plan was to implement the project through a public-private partnership between the municipality and a potential investor.
