Investor from Kazakhstan interested in building sports and tourist complex in Kikinda - Investment worth EUR 1.5 million

(Old Lake)

An investor from Kazakhstan has expressed interest in financing the construction of a modern sports and tourist complex spanning five hectares in the vicinity of Old Lake in Kikinda. This information was confirmed by Nenad Grbic, member of the Municipal Council in charge of economy and ecology, who added that it was an investment worth EUR 1.5 million, thanks to which about 50 people would get a job.

- This potential investor from Kazakhstan has a serious intention to have a mini aqua park with accompanying sports and tourist facilities built in that location. The project envisages the construction of several swimming pools, courts for tennis, basketball and volleyball, a mini golf course and catering facilities - a pizza place, a discotheque, and a restaurant next to the lake - Grbic reveals the plans of the potential investor.

In order for the local self-government to be able to offer this location to his or some other investor, it is necessary to complete the detailed regulation plan and the land-utilization plan. Members of the local parliament will be discussing these documents at their next session:

- The idea is to sell the land to one of interested investors under certain criteria and conditions set by the local self-government, that is, to the best bidder on a public tender that is going to be announced soon, so that the works could commence as early as in spring, allowing for Kikinda to put another attractive location on its tourist map as soon as possible - Grbic concludes.
