Sabac expands to the Sava river - First locations for construction of residential buildings for sale by end of 2011
(Milos Milosevic)
- The first locations for the construction of residential buildings will be put up for sale by the year's end, which will also signify the beginning of implementation of the plan "Sabac – City on the Sava".
I believe that the inflow of investments and development of the city economy will contribute to the accelerated implementation of the plan that will provide Sabac with long-desired contents and enable the citizens of Sabac to live on the Sava river - said Mayor Milos Milosevic, presenting the Detailed Regulation Plan "Sabac - City on the Sava", which was adopted at the June meeting of the aldermen of the City Assembly.
Architect Vera Mihaljevic assessed that the participation in the formation of a new part of the city represented both professional challenge and great satisfaction.
- The City will get attractive contents: marina, swimming pools, sports courts, hotel, parks, contemporary housing project, schools, kindergartens, cultural facilities, office space... At the same time, the fortress will be affirmed as part of the identity of this space and the entire city. The concept of the new city will provide maximum comfort of residing and living, and it will benefit not only people in this part of the city, but also whole Sabac - said Vera Mihaljevic.
As she specified, the plan covers a total area of 180,000 square meters, which should be adapted to fit the needs of 4,000 citizens. The housing zone will span 17 ha, with 400 citizens per hectare.
As it was planned, the locations alongside the wholesale market (the extension of Kralja Milana street) will be put up for sale the first, and the whole revenue will be invested in the construction of public infrastructure. That is why a significant advantage of this project is the fact that the City owns this space.
