Mercator buys Tuš supermarket chain in the Balkans?
Slovenian Tuš holding is again negotiating with Slovenia's largest trade company Mercator on the sale of a number of its markets in the countries of former Yugoslavia, Slovenian daily paper Delo quotes.
The news about the negotiations on the potential takeover has been confirmed by the people at Tuš, which is owned by Mirko Tuš, the richest citizen of Slovenia, while the people at Mercator have not confirmed the news yet.
- Mercator is open for new business opportunities, but we do not want to comment on this concrete example, that is, we do not want to either deny or confirm it - the people at Mercator told Delo.
By the way, people at Tuš holding negotiated last year on the sale of its markets in the Balkans to the leading market chain in Slovenia.
