Restaurant with Business Apartments and Green Roof for Growing of Herbs and Vegetables to Be Built Near Kalemegdan (PHOTO)

The City Administration of Belgrade has advertised the public presentation of the urban project of the repurposing of the residential facility at 12 Pariska Street in Belgrade into a hospitality-accommodation building.

The preliminary design, prepared by the company Vladislav Matic & Sinovi, plans for this facility, which was built around 1925 and has been abandoned for years, to be reconstructed and repurposed into a restaurant with apartments.

The building will have 4 floors, of which the topmost two are meant for 4 business apartments.

As said, the local and international cuisine restaurant will take up two floors, and an especially interesting feature will be the flat green roof on two levels, where herbs and vegetables will be grown in plant beds and used for cooking at the restaurant.

It is added that the green roof will contribute to the improvement of the microclimate of the whole block. Also, climber plants are planned to go across the façade profiles, making the façade green too.

The investor in the project is the Belgrade-based company IoNet.
