Contractors for construction of swimming pool in Kragujevac to be selected prior to October - Less than one year for construction
- Contractor for the works on construction of the first indoor swimming pool and accompanying contents in Kragujevac, worth about EUR 3.6m, should be selected prior to October - the Kragujevac Property Administration announced today (August 31, 2010).
Nebojsa Vasiljevic, a member of the City Council for Investments and Development of Kragujevac, said to the press that the construction of that complex at 5,000 square meters was the first project approved to Kragujevac out of six projects that had been submitted to the Government's public contest for allotment of incentives to building companies in Serbia.
He added that complete tender documentation would be finished within 15 days and that "the contract will be presented to the contractor at the end of September".
Vasiljevic said that the deadline for construction of the indoor Olympic swimming pool (50x25m) would be shorter than one year.
People in the City Property Administration said that the initial project for construction of indoor swimming pools was "maximally rationalized" due to efficiency of construction.
Instead of a complex at 9,000 square meters, a facility at 5,000 square meters will be built, while instead of the planned swimming pools for water polo and kids, only one will be constructed.
According to Vasiljevic, realization of other investments in construction of residential and business facilities in Kragujevac goes "as planned".
He also announced that Delta Park near the city fairgrounds would be finished by the end of the year, while DIS trade center should be opened on October 1, 2010.
He added that, after a break of several months, Plaza would continue construction of the shopping mall in Stara Radnicka Kolonija (Old Workers' Colony) as soon as the tender for new contractor was closed.
Vasiljevic also announced arrival of four new private investors in the location of Rakalj where land will be rented for the purpose of construction of an automobile showroom and gas stations.
The tenants are Hellenic Petrol, Sanel, A Market, and Intergas, the value of investment exceeds EUR 5m, while minimum 100 people will be employed.
