Makisko polje is one of the locations for the construction of affordable apartments in Belgrade

By issuing the planning documentation, Belgrade has provided several larger locations such as Makisko polje, with the possibility of constructing residential buildings which most citizens can afford, said the chief urban planner Marko Stojcic as a guest on TV Studio B.

He pointed out that the necessary infrastructure is being built, which very often relieves the traffic congestion in certain streets, Beoinfo reports.

The chief urbanist pointed out that there will be affordable apartments on several locations on Palilula, the left bank of the Danube, Zvezdara, Vozdovac.

- We will build the subway for all citizens of Belgrade, and we expect a large number of people to live in the area of Makisko polje, in 10 years time. The left bank is probably the topic we deal with the most - said Stojcic.
