New rooms in the spirit of last century - first phase of reconstruction of hotel "Moskva"

The side of hotel "Moskva", one of the oldest hotels in Belgrade, that is facing Balkanska Street has been reconstructed recently. About 60 rooms on this side of the hotel got the brand new looks, but they are still organized in the spirit of the time from the beginning of the last century.

- All rooms got the new furniture, curtains, carpets, as well as plasma TV sets, wireless Internet and mini bars. We have also introduced the electronic system for locking and unlocking the rooms, and special attention was paid to the guests' safety. In case of any problem, the guests can communicate electronically with the staff, and they can also call the room service in the same way. When the rooms were being refurbished, we did our best to preserve the spirit of Russian recession, at the time of which the hotel was built, so that furniture and pictures in the rooms were selected according to that principle – says Nada Radoičić, the PR of hotel "Moskva".

By the way, hotel "Moskva" was built in 1906, and it has four stars. It is situated in the very center of the city, and it is mainly the place for businessmen.

- Businessmen do not have much leisure time, so that we offer them to have their clothing washed and ironed in the hotel, to have their shoes cleaned, and they can also check out from the hotel in an express way if needed. On the other hand, if they want to relax a little, they can always come to the restaurant or the pastry shop where they can try cake "Moskva šnit", which is our specialty and the symbol of our hotel – says Nada Radoičić.

Hotel "Moskva" has total of 126 one-bad, two-bad, duplex rooms and suites on four floors. The rooms on the side of Balkanska Street have already been reconstructed, but "Moskva" is currently with only half of its capacities because the reconstruction of the other side of the hotel, the one facing Terazije, is at its peak at the moment. According to the words of Nada Radoičić, it is expected that about 60 rooms on that side of the hotel will be ready for the guests prior to April 2010.
