Beočin to get two attractive industrial zones - nearly 90 ha alongside DTD canal
(Bogdan Cvejić)
- Municipality of Beočin will offer 30 ha of land in the new industrial zone alongside the Danube-Tisa-Danube canal, in the vicinity of the international harbor, in March 2010 - Bogdan Cvejić, the Mayor of that municipality, told "eKapija".
He pointed out that, in addition to that industrial zone, Beočin would start preparations in 2010 for construction of another industrial zone at 59 ha. It will be situated at the very bank of the Danube and it will be the most exclusive location in Serbia.
- Elaboration of the necessary planning documentation for the first zone by the City Planning Institute of Vojvodina is in progress, and it should be finished in about one month. We have prepared numerous benefits for future investors. For example, companies will be freed from the obligation to pay the fee for use of land if they employ more than 50 people, and the price for unequipped land will range between 1.5 and 2 EUR per square meter - Cvejić explained.
According to his words, the municipality is not going to set any limits concerning the types of industry that are acceptable in the future zone.
There is also an attractive business park within company "Lafarge" in the municipality of Vrbas.
- The park has completey infrastructure and occupies the surface of 20 ha in the vicinity of road R107, international harbor and rail junctions. Beočin was the first municipality to start building industrial zones in former Yugoslavia, so that the private sector is well-developed. We have quality manpower, while the unemployment rate ranges between 10 and 13%.
