Info booth of Tourism Organization of Belgrade to be built in Slavija
Workers will return to Slavija this Monday. Works are now to be done beneath the plaza, which should have been completed last year. Official premises for the needs of the Tourism Organization of Belgrade (TOB) will be built there.
The construction of an info booth, office space, a public toilet and a kiosk was planned back when the square was being reconstructed. Although the square was completed back in November 2017, with subsequent works lasting until June 2018, the section beneath the intersection between Nemanjina and Kralja Milutina streets remains empty. People would even park there, whereas workers would leave their tools there during the additional works.
– The deadline for the completion of the TOB info center and other planned features is 75 days from the possession of the site, that is, from this Monday. The company Modular has been put in charge of the construction, and the works will cost 25 million dinars – says the secretary for investments, Luka Petrovic.
This will complete the project of the reconstruction of the Slavija Square, and tourists will get a place where they can get information about the city features quickly and easily.
