DINKIĆ: Price for Belgrade Trade Fair is 40m EUR

The Minister of Economy of Serbia, Mlađan Dinkić, said today (July 15, 2009) that the Tender Commission would ask from the consortium comprising Italian trade fair "Rimini" and Belgrade-based company "Verano motors" to increase the offer for the Belgrade Trade Fair to 40m EUR.

That consortium has offered 1.8m EUR for 70% of capital of the Belgrade Trade Fair, which Dinkić finds unacceptable.

- The Commission will ask for the bid to be increased to minimum 40m EUR and that the value of minimum investment programme remains at 35m EUR - said Dinkić.

According to his words, if the consortium accepts that, the negotiations will commence, if it refuses the offer, the tender will be cancelled and the trade fair will become a property of the state.

The consortium comprising Trade Fair "Rimini" and company "Verano motors" was the only bidder on the tender for sale of the Belgrade Trade Fair.

In addition to the price of 1.8m EUR, the bid also includes an investment programme worth 35m EUR, which is the minimum amount requested by the tender.

That bid has been estimated as unacceptable by the Mayor of Belgrade, Dragan Đilas, and the Director General of the Belgrade Trade Fair, Anđelko Trpković.
