Price of 1.8m EUR offered for Belgrade Trade Fair - 35m EUR worth of investments
The consortium comprising Italian Trade Fair "Rimini" and Belgrade-based company "Verano motors" has offered the price of 1.8m EUR for 70% of capital of the Belgrade Trade Fair and 35m EUR worth of investments - the Privatization Agency announced today (July 13, 2009).
That consortium was the only bidder on the tender for the Belgrade Trade Fair, which was announced in December 2008. Financial part of the offer has been opened today and it will be evaluated within the next month.
Capital of the Belgrade Trade Fair has been estimated at 20.5m EUR. The trade fair occupies total of 22 ha, it owns facilities at 106,241 square meters, including six exhibition halls.
As the representatives of Trade Fair "Rimini" announced earlier, if the only bidder on the tender for Belgrade Trade Fair becomes the new owner of that company, it will keep three halls at 25,700 square meters, one of which is under protection of the state, while the other two are not, but they can not be torn down, just reconstructed.
According to the plan, all other exhibition halls will be torn down, while eight new halls will be built, at 27,500 square meters, as well as congress center with 1,600 seats, restaurants and other catering facilities at 4,500 square meters.
Construction of new business building, as well as underpass beneath the current railway tracks, is in the pipeline, and it has not been determined yet how the location of the Belgrade Trade Fair where the facilities of commercial purpose are situated at the moment, at about 11.5 ha, will be used.
