"Mercator" in Kaluđerica - construction of facility at 9,000 square meters starts soon
Slovenian market chain "Mercator" will open a hypermarket in trade center in Vojvode Stepe Stepanovića Street in Kaluđerica. Construction of the facility will start in few days.
The whole trade center will occupy the surface of about 9,000 square meters and it will have two levels, ground floor and cellar with garages and storage space, while that "Mercator" store will be at about 1,300 square meters. The rest of the space will be leased by numerous other outlets, and one of possible tenants is "McDonalds". The complex will also include parking places and a gas station.
Goran Pekarski, the President of Town Hall of Grocka, confirmed to "Politika" that the contract with investor "Preenergy" had been signed and announced ceremonial opening of the trade center in December.
– The works on preparation of land and construction of fence around the building site are underway. Construction should commence in few days. The plan is that everything be finished prior to November. One month later, all the citizens of Kaluđerica and Grocka, as well as whole Belgrade, will be able to shop in the new trade center – said Pekarski.
