Ground being cleared for Capitol Park Leskovac – Construction of retail park to start soon

(Illustration) The clearing of the ground for the construction of Capitol Park, a retail park which should open this October, has started in the location of the former textile factory Crvena Zvezda in Leskovac.

According to earlier announcements, around 150 citizens of Leskovac should be employed at this outdoor shopping center, Jugmedia reports.

Capitol Park Leskovac will offer a mix of renowned foreign and local brands, and it has been promised that the prices will be adjusted to the needs of the local populace. It will have around 6,500 square meters of retail space in the first phase and feature brands adapted to the local market (hypermarket, clothes, footwear and sports equipment).

This retail park will be opened by UK's Poseidon Group, an international company which invests in projects in commercial and residential sectors.

After a successful opening of two retail parks in 2017, in Sombor and Belgrade, the British investor and real estate manager Poseidon Group will expand its network in Serbia in 2018 and 2019, aiming to have a total of ten retail parks by the end of 2020.

Poseidon also plans to expand its network to Zajecar. In early 2019, Capitol Park Zajecar will open as well, located in the town's center and featuring around 9,000 m2 of retail space.
