Construction of tourist-sports center “Letenka” on Fruška Gora in the pipeline

The plan for detailed regulation of location "Letenka" in the central part of Fruška Gora mountain anticipates construction of a tourist-sports-recreation center that will provide conditions for active vacation and recreation for numerous visitors. The initiative for introduction of such offer was started because of the fact that neither Fruška Gora nor its broader surroundings have facilities that satisfy the conditions for the stay of kids, youth and professional sportsmen.

Construction of a hotel, accommodation pavilions, sports hall and fields, as well as a restaurant and a clinic, will create a brand new quality of both location ``Letenka`` and National Park "Fruška gora".

Construction of these facilities will enable the top-quality preparations for sportsmen, organization of sports school, weekend and annual vacations, seminars and courses for sports groups, and people will have a chance to try themselves in numerous, so-called “alternative” sports. At the same time, “Letenka” will be the right place for cultural-educational stay, organization of schools of culture, expert congresses and workshops of educational character for people of all ages and interests.

The location of Letenka, which is regulated by this land-utilization plan, occupies the surface of 450.40 ha.

Sports and Recreation Zone

There will be a zone with sports-recreation contents in the north part of complex ``Letenka``. That zone will encompass a sports hall for trainings, suitable for handball, volleyball, table tennis, basketball and martial arts contests. Construction of outdoor courts for tennis, football, handball and basketball and outdoor swimming pool is also in the pipeline. The maximum surface of the hall will be 2,600 square meters and its stands will have 200 seats.

Concerning the fact that the contents within the complex are intended for kids and sportsmen and that the nearest health centers are in Beočin and Sremska Mitrovica, development of a clinic is in the pipeline as well. The maximum surface of the clinic will be 280 square meters.

Tourist-catering Zone

The zone with tourist-catering contents will include a hotel, accommodation pavilions, a restaurant and an outdoor amphitheater. The central facility will be the hotel at about 3,350 square meters and with about 70 beds. It will be modernly furnished and it will offer high level of services. The maximum height of the facility is 12 meters. In addition to accommodation capacities, the hotel will also have a conference hall, specialized top-quality restaurants, indoor swimming pool, fitness halls, massage rooms and saunas.

Accommodation pavilions will be built next to the hotel and they will serve as supplemental accommodation capacities. The pavilions are conceived as three spatial units, each with two units with eight suites each (four on the ground floor and four in the attic). Every unit will have a separate entrance, and the visitors will have all contents in the hotel and in the sports-recreation center at their disposal. Most facilities will have a panorama view of woody, south slopes of Fruška Gora.
